A Lesson from Birds, Rats and Worms

It is very rare that I get struck by a forwarded text message so I want to share this cute one with you:

The early bird catches the worm. But has it occured to you that the early worm gets caught?

Being first may not necessarily be good because the first mouse gets trapped, while the second gets the cheese.. We can either be the bird or the worm.. The first mouse or the second.

Life is a matter of perspective.. There are times that it's better to let things happen rather than insist on how you want them done.

This is a lesson about the sad plight of haste.. There are many of us who often want to be the earliest bird. For example, in a business. Some believe that the earlier you grab the opportunity, the more profit you'd make out of it. But I think otherwise. We are only being guaranteed the first chance, but not the big success. It still depends on our decisions and how well we play our cards.. For the earlier you become successful, the more chance you'd get recognition..but when you fail, the earlier you'd get condemnation too..
