In this fast changing world and with today’s hippy culture, we rarely find people who can honestly profess the virtue of chaste. And I would be a hypocrite to say that I am one.
I do have this stupid rule – I will only marry a virgin.
Why?
Because on the duration of our relationship, I don’t want to bother myself with whom and how many she’d been before me. It will only bring doubts between us. The relationship could be in risk.
Same thing goes for achievements in life. Someone would be more proud to spell the word SUCCESS if he has done it with the purity of thoughts. Nothing is more egotistical than to be trusted wholeheartedly and make it with the cleanest intention. If it is through the wrong way, the possibility of going down [ again] would be a constant ringing bell.
A good example is a tale of two millionaires. The first is a businessman who worked hard to attain his status. The other one is a lottery winner. Who is more contented?
The answer is the businessman for he knows that if he again falls, he could always start again, while the lucky man could not bet his million to win again.
I am not insinuating that taking risk is a tricky way. But you can always have a peace of mind if success is earned by sweat and tears. No doubts, no anxieties; the end does not always justify the means. It’s how you got there that counts.
