At some point in our lives, we sometimes feel that we haven't achieved anything. We don't see our efforts appreciated. We feel stucked. Yet we must not be disappointed because at some point in our journey, we must stop for a while. It is not a sin to take a break because even during that "some point", we can still make something out of it. Dong Abay for one, took respite from the hefty world. He locked himself in his room for a year and in his solitude tried to recharge himself. Everything has a reason. In the same way that the lighthouse is built to be stationary so it would be a guide to ships passing by.. we are in the red light for some reasons. However, we can make most of it..we can build memories. Afterall, I believe, that our purpose in life is to build memories - that which according to Jesus could make us live forever..
We always rant about the intricacies of life, unknowingly complaining about what we have achieved already. We rate our worth through salary and other more benefits we are getting.. We sometimes forget that God has a purpose for putting us in that situation. It is but pleasing to Him, to ourselves, and to others as well if we will just make our mark and let our history be known..through memories.
How do we build memories?
For the teachers who are destined to influence their students, be an example and make them good people.
For the carpenters who build great houses which are homes to the families, make them strong.
For the scientists and engineers who innovates things for more comfortable life, be creative.
For the factory workers who lay hands on most essential products, do it with quality.
All professions are equally important..it is not measured by the compensation, but by the way we perform.. We are all part of the society.. We support and need each other.. So take a break.. Think for awhile..
Even an eagle needs to take rest from its mighty flying too to prepare for another adventure.. Don't lose hope..
