As I was walking home last night, I couldn’t help but notice that one irritating noise especially when you’re too tired from a day’s hectic works.
Dogs.
They’re noisy, they’re naughty. They’re cute. Lovable. Huggable. Smart. And most of all, they’re man’s best friends – maybe because they show a great deal of loyalty.
So often that we take our pet dogs for granted, the same way that we seldom give weight to the value of loyalty. Loyalty is almost synonymous to honesty. They go hand in hand so that a person could be trusted, and could learn how to trust too. We commit to devotion not just because we want to get noticed and be rewarded. It’s a deep feeling innate in each of the human soul.
I am loyal to my dreams.
When I was still struggling with my studies, I stood up to my goal until I graduated.
With my parents, I never let them down. When they entrusted to me the future, I try fulfilling it without any reservation. With God’s guidance, I am now starting to reap the fruit of my hard work.
With my special girl, I keep no secrets from her. My life is an open book. She knows my past, my slip ups, and the real me. And to stay true with my promise of loving her forever, I try to rebuild a life of chastity. I don’t fling. I don’t flirt. I attempt to be like those Clarkes Grebes ( a type of bird somewhere in Oregon) who after a hard work of courting the females through great dancing, would stay loyal to their partners until their dying days.
With my college colleagues, I share my achievements. With my high school alma mater, I do my best to profess what I have gained in terms of helping others, perseverance, patience and simplicity. I am proud to be a steward of upholding our school’s mission.
With my friends, I am honest and try to be of help, morally if not financially. I also patch things up when in dispute with somebody for I never want to leave things unsettled. I remember there is this very good friend of mine who’s not in good terms with someone I know. I sometimes feel torn between them but because I tell them what I truly think and feel about the situation, I have avoided moments of awkwardness and uncertainties.
With my business and job, I devote time to protect it as much as I can. I bow under my superiors. I prioritize what I have to for there maybe luck in getting a job but there is none involved in keeping it. Sometimes I find my work harder than I thought it is, but in the end, I am always grateful because a razor cannot be sharpened by a piece of velvet.
With blogging, I show loyalty through persistence.
And with God, I keep up with my faith and try to create a personal relationship with Him. He is my shepherd and I remain His sheep.
Loyalty to your dreams is almost synonymous to Success.
"With loyalty, I now can see my life’s direction..clearly and without hesitations." - a friend.
Sometimes it feels good to be like a dog… =)
